Certainty through prototyping

We prototype daily in our model shops, testing, iterating, rethinking, and de-risking designs to unlock bold, precise solutions.

We wouldn't have hit our launch timelines without Fresco. They’re the best surface modelers out there. All super sharp designers and engineers with experience and hustle. I hope they continue to stay a part of our team as a flexible resource for the long run.

With Fresco, what stood out from day one was the in-person interaction with Gustavo and Danielle. Before we even started working together, they sat down with us, saw how we worked, listened, and really understood what we needed. It was incredibly valuable. We developed a close working relationship with their design and engineering team. It was a true collaboration from beginning to end.

Common questions about Fresco Design.

What makes Fresco different from other industrial design firms?

Fresco’s multi-disciplinary team includes experts in product innovation, industrial design, UX, ergonomics, engineering, prototyping, DFM, and supplier sourcing. Our designers understand how products are made, and our engineers understand design intent. We build and test often. The result is informed decisions, faster progress, and better products.

Does Fresco work with startups or established companies?

Both. For established companies, we work as an extension of their internal team, bringing specialized expertise or additional capacity where needed.

For startups, our team brings decades of experience developing and launching products. We provide close guidance, leading them through the entire process, including critical decisions that establish brand presence, maximize user adoption, and de-risk product launch.

At what stage of product development should we bring Fresco in?

Fresco can add value at any stage, from front-end innovation and identifying market opportunities, through design, engineering, user testing, and design for manufacturing. Some clients bring us in for the full journey; others need focused expertise to solve a specific challenge, strengthen an internal team, or move through a critical phase.

Who owns the IP and designs Fresco creates?

You do. Fresco is a work-for-hire design and development firm, so all project-specific designs, CAD, engineering development, documentation, and intellectual property we create for you belongs to you, as outlined in our project agreements.

Will your deliverables give me everything I need to be ready for manufacturing?

In a full development effort, final deliverables include tooling-ready part designs and CAD, supporting engineering drawings with specified tolerances, material and finish specifications and samples, BOMs, and manufacturing requirements.

Fresco also offers manufacturing liaison support to advocate for your product and ensure design intent and quality are maintained through production.

Is there a minimum project size or budget to work with Fresco?

No. Project scope and budgets vary widely, from focused design sprints to full product development programs.

We’ll work with you to define the right scope based on your product, goals, and development needs. For longer programs, we recommend starting with a focused Phase 1 before engaging in a broader development effort.
