Bottles

Overview

BottleKeeper wanted to turn their one highly successful product into a differentiated product portfolio.

When BottleKeeper came to Fresco, they had one highly successful product funded through Shark Tank. Our goal was to build on that success and design a product line that would define the brand, create new IP, demand shelf space, and increase negotiating power.

Product line expansion

Through industry mapping and a deeper understanding of consumer needs in the growing drinkware market, Fresco created a full portfolio of products and future product concepts, identifying opportunities to expand the brand into new categories.

Conceptual product sketches and renderings showing a modular drink container system including a CanKeeper holding a blue soda can inside a black insulated holder with a detachable lid, a BottleKeeper blue water bottle, a PintKeeper blue pint glass, and an outlined WineKeeper bottle and glass, alongside sketches of regular and premium drink containers in various 12 oz, 16 oz, and 23.5 oz sizes and shapes.

"Aside from getting projects done on time and at higher than expected quality levels, we’ve benefited tremendously from the new ideas spawned through the Fresco creative process, helping us to develop and differentiate multiple new products."

Our Process

Fresco became BottleKeeper’s design team, helping expand the product line while inventing new IP and developing concepts for future products. This work helped strengthen the brand and build a broader product portfolio, ultimately contributing to BottleKeeper’s acquisition by RTIC Outdoors.

Engineering functionality

The CanKeeper was a design engineering challenge, requiring many rounds of mechanical problem solving, design, and prototyping to ensure that the finished product would accommodate multiple can sizes, while sealing off the can opening between sips.

Technical sketches of an insulated can holder with removable lid and side wall adapter, showing a double-wall stainless steel body holding a standard 220 ml can. Diagrams detail a spring-loaded support leg mechanism that ejects the can upward when the lid is opened. Additional measurements and side views illustrate different can sizes and states labeled ‘compressed’ and ‘relaxed’.

Form and function

The PintKeeper was designed with the user experience in mind, to deliver an experience reminiscent of holding a pint glass at a bar, drinking a draft pour, but in a portable and insulated vessel.
